On February 18, 2026, the internationally renowned academic journal Nature published online the research paper titled "Integrated Photonics Empowering Ultra-Broadband Fiber-Wireless Communication." Led by Professor Wang Xingjun and Researcher Shu Haowen from the School of Electronics at Peking University, the study was conducted in collaboration with the team of Academician Yu Shaohua from Peng Cheng Laboratory, the research group of Associate Professor Chen Baile from ShanghaiTech University, and the team of General Manager Xiao Xi from the National Information Optoelectronics Innovation Center. The research marks a significant breakthrough in next-generation wireless communication (6G) and optical communication, introducing integrated photonics technology for the first time and offering a novel solution for ultra-broadband fiber-wireless communication.
