On February 8, 2026, Yongtai Technology (002326.SZ) made an announcement stating its intention to purchase a 25% equity interest in Yongtai Hi-Tech, which is currently held by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL). This acquisition will be carried out through the issuance of shares, along with raising corresponding funds (referred to as matched funds). It's worth noting that Yongtai Technology already possesses a 75% stake in Yongtai Hi-Tech at present.
Once this deal is finalized, CATL will step into the role of a shareholder of Yongtai Technology. In light of this significant development, trading of Yongtai Technology's shares will be temporarily halted starting from the market opening on February 9, 2026. Moreover, it is anticipated that the detailed plan regarding this transaction will be unveiled within a maximum of 10 trading days.
