The Semiconductor Industry Association predicts that global semiconductor sales will exceed $1 trillion this year. In 2025, global chip sales reached $791.7 billion, up 25.6% year-on-year, with the growth trend expected to continue into this year, driven by leading tech companies building AI data centers. Among them, high-end computing chips saw the fastest sales growth, increasing by 39.9% in 2025 to reach a total of $301.9 billion. Memory chips, facing shortages due to the AI boom, saw prices rise, with sales growing by 34.8% to $223.1 billion in 2025. The association's president stated that executives from multiple small and medium-sized chip companies are optimistic about the prospects for 2026, expecting strong momentum in the industry over the coming year.
