From January 19 to 22, 2026, the 31st Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference (ASP-DAC 2026) was successfully convened in Hong Kong, China. As a premier international forum in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) sector, ASP-DAC is dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge technological advancements in Very-Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) design and automation, as well as charting the course for future developments.
During the conference, Gang Chen, the head of the Advanced Computing-in-Memory Technology R&D Department at Houmo AI, was invited as a keynote speaker. He delivered a presentation in a special seminar, offering profound insights into various facets of AI computing architecture and design from multiple perspectives.
Meanwhile, the team from the School of Integrated Circuits at Peking University made a significant impact by presenting an invited paper and unveiling their latest innovation—the heterogeneous accelerated static timing analysis engine, HeteroSTA. This breakthrough demonstrates their prowess in the field and sets a new benchmark for timing analysis tools.
Additionally, the research work on a 100V high-voltage converter by Junmin Jiang's research group at the Southern University of Science and Technology was recognized with the Best Design Award, further highlighting the exceptional talent and innovative spirit prevalent in the academic community.
