AI chipmaker Cerebras Systems has announced the completion of a $1 billion late-stage funding round, bringing its valuation to $23 billion, nearly tripling from four months ago. The funding round was led by Tiger Global, with other investors including Benchmark, Coatue, and 1789 Capital, among others. This funding will help Cerebras challenge Nvidia's dominance in the AI chip sector and advance its IPO process. Previously, Cerebras had signed a cooperation agreement worth over $10 billion with OpenAI to provide computational support.
