Recently, a groundbreaking hybrid quantum system has been proposed by Professor Liu Yuxi's research team from the School of Integrated Circuits at Tsinghua University. This innovative system combines magnetic skyrmion qubits with surface acoustic wave cavities. Skyrmions, known for their minuscule dimensions, emerge as perfect candidates for creating compact qubits designed for quantum information storage. Similarly, surface acoustic wave cavities, which also boast a small footprint, are well-suited to function as quantum data buses or registers. The proposed system stands out due to its compact size and high degree of integration, presenting a fresh avenue for achieving high-density, on-chip quantum information processing.
