According to regulatory filings on Wednesday, SK Hynix has placed an order for new high-bandwidth memory (HBM) production equipment from Hanmi Semiconductor, possibly preparing for the production of the next-generation HBM4. Hanmi Semiconductor plans to supply it with thermal compression bonding machines worth 9.7 billion won (approximately $6.5 million) by April, without disclosing further details.
