The Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology is currently inviting public feedback on the "Guangzhou's Array of Policies to Foster High-Quality Development Across the Entire Integrated Circuit Industry Chain During the 15th Five-Year Plan Era." This policy initiative aims to motivate integrated circuit producers to ramp up their investments in technological enhancements. Qualified investment initiatives will be eligible for retrospective incentives, covering up to 20% of the costs incurred in purchasing new equipment. The range of support encompasses not only production machinery but also extends to energy-consuming and power distribution gear used internally by companies, along with essential software. The upper limit for incentives per project stands at 30 million yuan. Additionally, retrospective incentives of up to 2% will be offered based on the actual investment in factory construction and installation endeavors that fall under the purview of technological upgrade filings. For these projects, the maximum incentive available is 5 million yuan.
