At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) opted not to unveil any new consumer-oriented standards. Instead, it chose to spotlight the real-world utility of several established standards. Among these were the DP80LL active cables, which were introduced to the public the previous year; the 120 Gbps DisplayPort tunneling technology, which leverages USB4 v2; and the multi-screen daisy-chain MST (Multi-Stream Transport) solution. Through these demonstrations, VESA aimed to provide industry professionals and consumers alike with a tangible understanding of how high-bandwidth display interconnect standards are being implemented in practical scenarios.
