On January 8th, reports emerged that executives from chip technology firm Arm (ARM.O) disclosed the company had finalized its restructuring and created a new Physical Artificial Intelligence Division. The move is aimed at bolstering its market presence in the robotics industry. Lately, the CES exhibition has been abuzz with a flurry of news in the realm of humanoid robots, which spurred Arm to opt for establishing a division centered on robotics. At present, Arm will mainly run three key business segments: cloud and artificial intelligence, edge computing (encompassing mobile devices and PC products), and physical artificial intelligence (including the automotive business). Arm executives are of the opinion that the robotics market harbors substantial growth potential in the long run. Drew Henry, the leader of the new division, remarked that physical artificial intelligence solutions can "fundamentally elevate labor efficiency and conserve time," and might exert a considerable influence on GDP.
