Recently, the 71st IEDM (an internationally iconic conference in the field of microelectronic devices) was held in San Francisco, USA. At the conference, Xu Weikai, a 2021 PhD student at the School of Integrated Circuits, Peking University (advised by Professor Huang Ru), was awarded the 2025 IEEE Electron Devices Society PhD Student Fellowship for his outstanding achievements in research on in-memory computing and search of novel ferroelectric devices and their applications. This fellowship is awarded annually to only three outstanding PhD students worldwide who are pursuing doctoral degrees in fields related to electron devices. Xu Weikai's award-winning achievements and story will be featured in a dedicated article in IEEE's official newsletter.
