On December 26, China witnessed the official launch of its inaugural open-source ecosystem intelligent computing center, the Xinwei AMD Intelligent Computing Center, located in the Wuxi High-Tech Zone. This center is built upon the AMD Radeon technology. Spearheaded by Wuxi Xinwei Intelligent Computing Technology Co., Ltd., the center's first-phase project has successfully concluded the construction of a 5,000-GPU (we usually use "GPU" instead of "card" in this professional context) cluster. The primary objective of this endeavor is to conduct technological validation and foster ecosystem development, thereby establishing a solid groundwork for future expansive construction projects. During the launch event, Xinwei Intelligent Computing inked cooperation pacts with several enterprises. Leveraging the ROCm open-source platform, AMD is set to work hand-in-hand with local partners to facilitate comprehensive software and hardware adaptation, bolstering the high-caliber growth of China's digital economy. The inception of this center is poised to catalyze an upgrade in regional computing infrastructure, offering robust backing for sectors such as manufacturing modernization and the intelligence enhancement of government services.
