On December 24, 2025, Nvidia and AI chip startup Groq reached a non-exclusive inference technology licensing agreement. According to the agreement, core team members including Groq founder Jonathan Ross and president Sunny Madra will join Nvidia to jointly advance the upgrade and large-scale application of the licensed technology. Groq will continue to operate as an independent company, with its cloud services unaffected. Nvidia denied reports of acquiring Groq.
