AI chip firm Mythic has declared the successful conclusion of a fresh $125 million funding round. This round was spearheaded by the venture capital company DCVC, and it also saw the involvement of other investors, including NEA, Atreides Management, SoftBank Group, Honda Motor, and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Established 13 years ago and with its headquarters situated in Palo Alto, Mythic is dedicated to the development of Analog Processing Unit (APU) chips. These chips boast cutting - edge technology that can slash AI energy consumption by as much as 100 times when compared to GPUs. The newly acquired funds will be allocated towards product development, software optimization, and various other crucial areas.
