Micron Technology released its latest financial report, showing revenue of $13.64 billion, a 57% year-on-year increase, primarily driven by growing demand from AI data centers. Despite challenges in the DRAM market, Micron anticipates that supply shortages will extend beyond 2026, with the HBM market size expected to reach $100 billion by 2028. The company is expanding its wafer fabs, but production capacity can still only meet 50% to 66% of key customers' demand. As a result, customers are signing multi-year contracts to ensure supply, and the ongoing DRAM shortage continues to drive up DDR5 prices.
