As a front - runner in the chip manufacturing sector, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) doesn't just boast the largest production capacity and the most cutting - edge technology; it also stands out as one of the most profitable entities. Lately, its stock price has witnessed a substantial upswing, and the company has been extremely generous with its dividend payouts. TSMC has already disbursed the dividends for this quarter, handing out NT$5 per share. The total dividend amount has soared to NT$129.7 billion, which is roughly equivalent to RMB 29.32 billion. This distribution of dividends will inevitably lead to a corresponding decrease of NT$129.7 billion in TSMC's market capitalization, causing an impact of approximately 40 points on the weighted index.
