The research report from CITIC Construction Investment highlights that technological progress in the upstream and midstream segments of the brain-computer interface (BCI) industry chain is fueling ongoing advancements in downstream applications. In recent years, significant milestones have been reached in both domestic and international medical research fields, including motor rehabilitation, language communication, and auditory reconstruction. National and local governments have rolled out a series of policies to bolster the industry's growth. Notably, the National Healthcare Security Administration has recently issued a document, establishing a distinct pricing category for new BCI technologies. This move clears the path for setting service fees for their clinical use. With the combined push from technological innovation and policy incentives, Chinese BCI companies are poised to gradually realize commercial applications.
