Rivian, often dubbed as "Tesla's Competitor," is in the process of developing its own AI chip, dubbed RAP1, with the intention of substituting NVIDIA's products in its forthcoming vehicle models. The RAP1 chip leverages multi-chip packaging technology, boasting an impressive bandwidth of 205GB per second. Moreover, the Autonomy Compute Module 3, which is driven by a pair of RAP1 chips, is projected to deliver a performance that is four times superior to that of the current NVIDIA systems.
