AMD is poised to officially introduce its next - generation laptop processors, namely the Ryzen AI 400 series, at the CES event in early 2026. Serving as an enhanced iteration of the existing Ryzen AI 300 series, this new lineup will maintain the tri - architecture design, which encompasses the Zen5 CPU, RDNA3.5 GPU, and XDNA2 NPU.

Specific models within this series are the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, Ryzen AI 9 465, Ryzen AI 7 450, and Ryzen AI 5 430. These models are set to deliver performance enhancements compared to their counterparts in the current lineup, the 370, 365, 350, and 330 models, respectively.

Among them, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 is positioned as a top - tier model. It comes equipped with 12 cores and 24 threads, boasting an acceleration frequency that can reach up to 5.25GHz. It incorporates the Radeon 890M integrated graphics, with a clock speed that can go up to 3.1GHz. Additionally, it elevates the NPU computing power to over 55 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second).

The Ryzen AI 7 450 features 8 cores and 16 threads, with an acceleration frequency of up to 5.15GHz. It integrates the Radeon 860M integrated graphics.

As an entry - level model, the Ryzen AI 5 430 is outfitted with 4 Zen5 cores. Moreover, it upgrades its integrated graphics to the Radeon 840M.
