From December 2 to 5, the 2025 Boao Forum for Entrepreneurs hosted a series of events in Boao, Hainan Province. During the forum, Frank Meng, Chairman of Qualcomm China, granted an exclusive interview to Xinhuanet. Meng emphasized that Qualcomm refrains from manufacturing end-user products, opting instead to concentrate on fundamental technology research and development, thereby empowering its partners. This year commemorates the 40th anniversary of Qualcomm's founding and the 30th anniversary of its presence in China. Qualcomm is working hand in hand with industry partners to drive forward the 6G standardization process. Meng expressed his belief that with the dawn of the 6G era, AI applications will become extensively pre-installed in intelligent terminals, aiding in the enhancement of production efficiency. He is brimming with confidence in China's economic development and the ongoing wave of technological innovation, eagerly anticipating the exploration of more cooperation opportunities in the realm of 'Connectivity + AI'.
