On December 4, SK Hynix unveiled its organizational restructuring plan and executive appointments for 2026, with a clear objective of bolstering its global competitiveness. In a strategic move, SK Hynix will set up 'Global AI Research Centers' in pivotal regions, including the United States, China, and Japan. These centers will be spearheaded by President Ahn Hyun, who also serves as the Chief Development Officer, with the aim of expediting research on computing system architectures and fostering deeper collaboration with leading global tech firms.

Concurrently, the company is embarking on the construction of a cutting-edge packaging factory in Indiana, USA, and establishing a 'Global Infrastructure' division. These initiatives are designed to solidify SK Hynix's global manufacturing prowess. Furthermore, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the global business landscape and geopolitical dynamics, SK Hynix will establish a 'Macro Research Center (MRC)'. This center will conduct thorough analyses and propose strategic solutions with a focus on AI and semiconductors. By assembling a team of experts in global macroeconomics and industry-specific enterprises, the MRC aims to enhance the company's agility in responding to future challenges.

On the same day, SK Hynix announced the appointment of 37 new executives, with a notable 70% hailing from key business and technology sectors. This move underscores the company's commitment to accelerating the development of next-generation leaders.
