NVIDIA's Chief Financial Officer stated on December 2 that the company has not yet reached a final agreement with OpenAI. As of 2026, NVIDIA's total orders for its two AI chips, Blackwell and Rubin, have reached $500 billion, and this figure does not include any work related to the next phase of the agreement with OpenAI. Currently, most of NVIDIA's newly shipped AI chips are used for expanding data centers rather than replacing existing equipment.
