On November 20th, during the 2025 Shenzhen Listed Companies Collective Reception Day event, Minde Electronic revealed that its investments in the silicon carbide industry chain span crucial sectors, including epitaxial wafer production, wafer processing and manufacturing, as well as chip design. Notably, Jingrui Electronic, a company specializing in wafer raw materials, has started shipping its 6-inch silicon carbide epitaxial wafers in small batches. Meanwhile, Guangxin Microelectronics, a wafer foundry, and Xinweitaike, a specialty process foundry, both boast production capabilities for silicon carbide devices. Guangxin Microelectronics is currently experiencing a robust capacity expansion and plans to prioritize increasing production capacity and refining process platforms in the coming year. As an open wafer foundry, Guangxin Microelectronics has set an initial production target of 100,000 6-inch silicon-based power devices per month. The company is presently in the process of ramping up its capacity, with full-scale production anticipated by the end of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027.
