Chip manufacturer AMD has unveiled a strategic partnership with Oracle aimed at deploying around 50,000 units of its cutting-edge AI chips, the MI450, within Oracle's data centers. This move cements a profound alliance in the realm of artificial intelligence computing capabilities. As per the outlined plan, AMD is set to commence operations of this expansive cluster in Oracle's data centers from the third quarter of 2025 onwards. The combined computing power of this setup will be on par with a 200-megawatt electrical load. Moreover, both companies anticipate further expanding their collaborative efforts beyond 2027.
