According to the most recent survey conducted by TrendForce, the swift expansion of AI inference applications has triggered a sharp uptick in the need for real-time data access and high-speed processing of vast data volumes. This trend has compelled suppliers of both mechanical hard drives and solid-state drives to ramp up the availability of high-capacity storage solutions. Given the substantial supply shortfall in the HDD market, NAND Flash producers have expedited technological advancements and channeled investments into manufacturing ultra-high-capacity nearline SSDs, like those with capacities of 122TB and 245TB. This move has mitigated prior concerns about the future demand outlook.
