The China Semiconductor Industry Association has released a statement, expressing grave concern over the local Dutch government's interference with Nexperia, the Dutch subsidiary of Wingtech Technology. The association stands firmly behind its member companies, advocating for their rights and interests, upholding a just business environment, and safeguarding the stability of the industrial supply chain. It strongly opposes the misuse of the term "national security" to impose selective and discriminatory restrictions, as well as discriminatory actions targeting specific companies that jeopardize the global semiconductor ecosystem. The association will keep a close eye on how the situation unfolds.
On October 12, Wingtech Technology revealed that on September 30, the Dutch government had mandated a one-year suspension of any adjustments, including those related to Nexperia's assets. Certain senior foreign executives had demanded the transfer of equity and the suspension of the CEO's position. The Dutch Enterprise Court had already taken emergency measures. That same evening, Wingtech Technology issued a statement, condemning the Dutch government's actions as a breach of market economy principles. It believed that certain foreign management members had leveraged political pressure to infringe upon shareholders' rights. The company vowed to defend its legitimate rights and interests and urged a return to the core principles of business.
