The iGaN laboratory, under the leadership of Professor Sun Haiding from the School of Microelectronics at the University of Science and Technology of China, has joined forces with the research team headed by Academician Liu Sheng of Wuhan University. Together, they have successfully crafted a compact ultraviolet spectrometer chip, facilitating on-chip spectral imaging capabilities. Leveraging an innovative cascaded photodiode structure based on gallium nitride and enhanced by deep neural network algorithms, this chip delivers precise spectral detection and high-definition multispectral imaging. Notably, its spectral response speed soars to nanosecond levels, marking a new global benchmark.
