At the lunch break on September 4, China's three primary A-share indices collectively experienced significant declines. The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 1.97%, the Shenzhen Component Index shed 2.37%, and the ChiNext Index, which suffered the steepest drop, plunged 3.2%. Leading the downward trend were sectors such as semiconductors, biotechnology, and precious metals, with notable losses. Cambrian Innovations took a particular hit, falling over 11%, followed by WuXi AppTec, which declined over 8%, and China Tin Group, which slid over 7%. In contrast, the catering and tourism, retail, and papermaking sectors performed relatively well. Dalian Shengya surged over 7%, Zhongbai Group advanced over 4%, and Yibin Paper Industry rose over 3%.
