SK Hynix is set to distribute approximately 3 trillion Korean won in bonuses this year, with each employee receiving over 100 million Korean won. This represents an increase of between 47% and 80% compared to previous years. The company has abolished the bonus cap, instead allocating 10% of its operating profit as bonuses, and aims to increase fixed salaries by 6% over the next decade. This bold move has raised concerns within the industry, as it may prompt other company unions to adopt similar practices. Notably, the Samsung Electronics branch has already voiced dissatisfaction with the current bonus system.
