By 2027, McDonald's aims to substantially increase the scope of its artificial intelligence (AI) applications, with India set to become a pivotal hub in its AI strategy. Hyderabad has been chosen as the largest international office hub, outside of the United States, where the focus will be on data governance, engineering development, and platform architecture. While the exact investment figure for the initial phase of McDonald's India office project has yet to be disclosed, it is evident that AI will be leveraged for smart ordering, sales forecasting, and other innovative applications. Currently, the AI order verification system is operational in 400 restaurants, with ambitions to extend its reach to 40,000 outlets globally by 2027. India's role in this expansion underscores both the emphasis on technical tools and the cultivation of AI talent. Additionally, McDonald's is also exploring the possibility of establishing further global offices in Poland.
