Jiangsu Province has recently unveiled measures aimed at streamlining the management of government apps. These measures explicitly prohibit the excessive development of government apps below the provincial level and ban the creation of new government service apps at the county level and below. In response to past issues, such as the detachment of app functions from their intended purpose and low usage rates, Jiangsu has instituted a "registration system" for government apps. This system has facilitated the cleanup and integration of existing apps, encouraging their migration and consolidation onto a unified platform known as "SuFuBan." The objective of these reforms is to dismantle data silos, minimize redundant development, effectively alleviate the burden on grassroots units, and enhance their operational capacity.
