NVIDIA has silently integrated CentML, a pioneering AI startup headquartered in Toronto, Canada, into its fold, along with its cutting-edge technology. This strategic move sees at least three co-founders and 15 engineers from CentML joining NVIDIA's team. Notably, the former CEO of CentML will assume the position of Senior Director of AI Software at NVIDIA, while the CTO and COO will also transition into senior management roles within the company. Furthermore, this month, NVIDIA has welcomed an additional 15 engineers and two interns from CentML to its workforce. However, it's important to note that not all CentML employees will be making the transition, as some have been impacted by an "organizational restructuring" that has led to layoffs. CentML, which had secured $30.9 million in venture capital funding, will cease operations effective July 17, and its AI optimization services will no longer be available.
