The artificial intelligence firm Scale AI has come under fire for storing highly sensitive client information in publicly accessible Google Docs. These documents reportedly contained top-secret project details, emails, payment information, and personal data of employees from companies such as Meta, Google, and xAI. Although no data breaches have been confirmed, this practice introduces substantial security vulnerabilities. Contractors have revealed that the documents also included Google's plans to enhance the chatbot Bard and training prompts for Elon Musk's "Xylophone Project." This incident has raised serious concerns about Scale AI's data security protocols and could expose the company to legal repercussions. Consequently, OpenAI has terminated its partnership with Scale AI.
