CNBC has reported that Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has publicly denounced a trademark infringement lawsuit filed by hardware startup Iyo on Tuesday. In a response on platform X, Altman revealed that Jason Rugolo, CEO of Iyo, had actively pursued an acquisition or investment from OpenAI but was turned down. Subsequently, Rugolo initiated legal action against OpenAI over trademark disputes, a move that Altman described as absurd, deeply disappointing, and fundamentally unjust.
