In a bid to counter the proliferation of crawlers and bots scraping website data for AI model training, social networks have been tightening their service terms. Leading the charge, Elon Musk's platform X recently updated its policies, clearly outlawing the use of platform content for such purposes. Following suit, the decentralized social network Mastodon has also amended its rules, categorically banning any form of AI model training.
