In response to the misuse of AI technology, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Internet Information Office has launched a dedicated rectification campaign. This effort has resulted in the removal of over 820,000 pieces of information and products related to illegal AI, the handling of more than 1,400 violating accounts, and the deactivation of over 2,700 intelligent agents. Concurrently, the Commission has deepened its compliance guidance for large AI models, completing the registration of 82 such models, and conducting interviews and imposing penalties on applications that have failed to adhere to relevant procedures.

Furthermore, the Commission has bolstered security risk control and technical source governance for AI platforms, optimizing content review mechanisms. In crucial sectors such as healthcare and finance, it has intensified safety management, review, and guidance for AI applications. To facilitate the adoption of AIGC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Content) identification standards, the Commission has established an identification ecosystem alliance and advanced the online availability of both explicit and implicit identification functions.

The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Internet Information Office affirmed that it will continue to deepen these special actions, intensify rectification efforts, and steer the development of intelligent technology towards positive outcomes.
