On June 12, Meta, the parent company of social media platforms Facebook and Instagram, unveiled a groundbreaking new AI system dubbed 'World Model.' This innovative AI is designed to achieve a deeper comprehension of three-dimensional environments and the movements of objects within them. Meta's latest open-source AI model, V-JEPA 2, not only understands but also predicts and plans actions within the physical world. Drawing inspiration from physical logic, the model creates internal simulations of reality, enabling AI to learn, plan, and make decisions in a manner that mimics human cognition more closely.
