Reuters reported on the 25th that Nvidia intends to unveil an artificial intelligence chip tailored exclusively for the Chinese market, with mass production anticipated as soon as June this year. Built upon Nvidia's latest Blackwell architecture, this chip is priced between $6,500 and $8,000, rendering it more accessible compared to the previous H20 series, which was priced between $10,000 and $12,000. Despite potentially offering slightly lower performance and reduced manufacturing specifications, it still represents a significant development. The chip reportedly employs the RTX Pro 6000D architecture, belonging to the server-grade graphics processing unit (GPU) category and equipped with GDDR7 memory. The specific name of the chip has yet to be disclosed. This marks the third occasion where Nvidia has introduced a downgraded chip for the Chinese market, adhering to US regulatory requirements.
