Series X Capital, a venture capital fund closely tied to Alphabet's X Lab (famed as the "Moonshot Factory"), has successfully secured hundreds of millions of dollars to finance spin-off enterprises emanating from the lab. Led by Gideon Yu, a former YouTube executive and Chief Financial Officer of Facebook, the fund was established in 2024 with the mission of fostering the independence of X Lab projects. As of now, Series X Capital anticipates surpassing its initial funding goal of $500 million by the end of 2025. The fund has already invested in supply chain specialist Chorus and telecommunications company Taara, while actively evaluating approximately a dozen other promising projects. The current funding round is anticipated to conclude during the third or fourth quarter of 2025.
