Red Hat has officially launched Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10, a robust enterprise-grade Linux operating system based on the Linux 6.12 LTS kernel. This latest iteration brings a multitude of enhancements, such as an optimized Cockpit Web console and updates to various software packages, including PHP to version 8.3 and Nginx to version 1.26. Furthermore, RHEL 10 introduces RHEL Lightspeed, an AI-powered assistant that empowers administrators to pose questions in natural language within the command line and receive intelligent repair recommendations. Notably, Red Hat has partnered with SiFive to introduce a developer preview version tailored for the RISC-V architecture, initially compatible with the HiFive P550 development board, thereby expanding options and flexibility for enterprise users. These upgrades and improvements significantly bolster RHEL 10 in terms of performance, security, and compatibility.
