At the Build 2025 conference, Microsoft introduced Microsoft Discovery, a groundbreaking enterprise-level AI research platform. This platform integrates professional-grade AI model tools and boasts high scalability, empowering researchers to seamlessly utilize AI models provided by Microsoft and its partners. Microsoft Discovery features a graph knowledge engine that aids researchers in comprehensively understanding the research landscape and validating their processes. Leveraging this platform, Microsoft's research team successfully developed a prototype for a new data center coolant in approximately 200 hours, dramatically expediting the R&D timeline. Currently, Microsoft is collaborating with clients across various industries to jointly propel the evolution of the Microsoft Discovery platform, encompassing domains such as chemistry, chip design, energy, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. This platform facilitates collaboration between scientists and researchers with specialized AI agents, harnessing advanced techniques including knowledge reasoning, hypothesis formulation, experimental simulation, and iterative learning to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery.
