On May 19, Bloomberg reported that any obstruction to Apple's AI collaboration with Alibaba Group in China could result in significantly greater losses for Apple than for Alibaba. A recent report by The New York Times, citing insiders, revealed that White House and congressional officials in the United States have been scrutinizing Apple's impending partnership with Alibaba over the past few months. This collaboration aims to integrate Alibaba's AI technology into iPhones sold in China. Consequently, Alibaba's share price plummeted by up to 4.8% on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Monday. Earlier this year, in February, Alibaba Chairman Joseph Tsai had confirmed that Apple's iPhone would incorporate Alibaba's AI technology.
