During the OceanBase Developer Conference, Zhengyu He, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Ant Group, emphasized that data serves as the bedrock of AI advancement, with its scope setting the cap for large models' potential. He projected that all data-centric enterprises will eventually evolve into AI companies. Mr. He highlighted that the perceived limitations of large models are fundamentally attributable to a lack of sufficient data. He cautioned that the era of abundant and inexpensive internet data is coming to an end, leading to a surge in acquisition costs. Moreover, the industry faces additional challenges, including a scarcity of industry-specific data, obstacles in data flow, difficulties in processing multimodal data, and the complexity of assessing data quality. He stressed that the future success of enterprises will hinge on their capability to generate and leverage data effectively. Ant Group has pledged its support to OceanBase in achieving breakthroughs in core applications like finance and healthcare, thereby advancing the realization of the Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) aspiration.
