On May 16, the Urumqi Customs unveiled the groundbreaking "Smart Railway Port + Local Rapid Customs Clearance" reform at the Khorgos Port in Xinjiang and the Urumqi Land Port Area. This innovative model, the first of its kind to be implemented at railway ports nationwide, integrates capabilities such as intelligent declaration, advanced inspection, and seamless information sharing. As a result, the transit time for imported goods at Xinjiang's railway ports has been cut by 70%, and the local operation time for exported goods has been drastically reduced by 80%.
