On May 15, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), convened with President Donald Trump of the United States in Abu Dhabi. During their meeting, the two leaders inked agreements amounting to over US$200 billion, encompassing aviation, aluminum, oil, natural gas, and various other sectors. Additionally, they exchanged views on regional and international developments. On the same day, the heads of state jointly participated in the inauguration ceremony of a 5-gigawatt artificial intelligence project in Abu Dhabi. The White House issued a statement confirming the news and underscoring the enhanced collaboration between the UAE and the US in the realms of aviation, energy, rare earths, and artificial intelligence.
