The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) has outlined its legislative work plan for 2025, aiming to scrutinize 14 pivotal legal cases. Among these, key highlights include the Private Economy Promotion Law, amendments to the Anti-Unfair Competition Law, and the introduction of the Financial Stability Law. Furthermore, 23 legal drafts are scheduled for initial review, encompassing the Financial Law, the National Development Planning Law, revisions to the People's Bank of China Law, and the Banking Supervision and Management Law. Preparatory deliberations will focus on the State-owned Assets Law (encompassing amendments to the Law on State-owned Assets of Enterprises), the Telecommunications Law, and the Consumption Tax Law. Regarding legislative initiatives aimed at regulating online illegal activities and fostering the healthy growth of artificial intelligence, relevant departments are diligently conducting research and drafting, with deliberations to be arranged at an opportune time.
