The US Department of Commerce announced on Tuesday that it would revoke the "AI Technology Diffusion Control Rules," originally scheduled to come into effect on May 15. These rules, instituted by the Biden administration, had categorized chip-importing nations into three distinct tiers. It is now reported that the incoming administration is formulating alternative strategies, contemplating the negotiation and signing of bilateral agreements with various countries on an individual basis.
