Eight departments in Sichuan Province have collaboratively issued the "Action Plan for Advancing the Brain-Computer Interface and Human-Computer Interaction Industry in Sichuan Province (2025-2030)", with the ambition of establishing a nationally preeminent hub for industrial innovation and development. The plan outlines that by 2027, an industrial cluster will be established, encompassing the research, development, and registration of three invasive and five non-invasive brain-computer interface products, the execution of the first invasive surgery, and the provision of services to over 50,000 medical patients. By 2030, the objective is to achieve widespread product application, substantially bolster the industry chain's capacity for self-reliance, conduct 3,000 invasive brain-computer interface surgeries annually, serve over 100,000 patients with brain-computer interface technology products, deploy rehabilitation equipment to more than 20,000 individuals, and foster the pervasive integration of this technology across multiple domains.
