Alibaba is poised to release a new generation of its Qwen3 series model collections on April 28, with an anticipated debut in the early hours of the day. The lineup will comprise Qwen3-14B-Base, Qwen3-4B, Qwen3-4B-Base, and Qwen3-8B-Base, boasting parameter scales of 14 billion, 4 billion, and 8 billion, respectively. Furthermore, Alibaba Cloud will introduce a Qwen3-30B-A3B-Base MOE architecture model, which could feature an impressive 30 billion parameters. Alibaba has confirmed to Sina Tech that the series will be made available as early as midnight today. Earlier in the evening, Lin Junyang, head of open source for Alibaba's Tongyi Qianwen, hinted on social media that the development of the Qwen3 series models might be completed tonight.
