Google highlights that by effectively training the workforce, the UK stands to enhance its AI-driven economic growth potential by a staggering £400 billion. Initial pilot projects have demonstrated that employees can reclaim over 120 hours of work time each year by delegating administrative tasks to AI. A collaborative analysis by Google and Public First reveals that two-thirds of employees have yet to leverage generative AI, with older women being the most underserved group. Nonetheless, through basic training, AI adoption among women aged 55 and above increases markedly. Google underscores the importance of granting access and providing foundational training, which can bolster employee confidence and bridge the gap in AI usage.
